Carly is a litigation lawyer at Merovitz Potechin.  Carly divides her practice between estates litigation and commercial litigation.  Carly’s approach is compassionate where required and more direct where that better serves the client’s needs, but she is always pragmatic and a clear communicator.

Carly worked as a litigation lawyer in Scotland for two decades before moving to Asia in 2021 and then to Ontario in 2023.

Carly qualified as a Solicitor-Advocate in Scotland in 2011.  She enjoys appearing in court, including in contentious matters, and has been praised for her thorough case preparation.  Carly also trained as a mediator in 2021.  She is passionate about alternative dispute resolution and the cost-savings and flexibility that can bring to clients, in suitable cases.

Outside of the office, Carly can mostly be found on the benches at a basketball court.
