Game-changing Amendments to the New Construction Act

In May 2017 the Ontario government introduced amendments to the Construction Lien Act. Since then, several changes have come into force with the most recent being passed in December 2018. The biggest of these changes will come in October 2019 when the prompt payment and adjudication regimes are introduced. These regimes will change payment practices and dispute resolution across the industry.
