Eli Udell is a Partner and Head of the Real Estate Group at Merovitz Potechin LLP. He has nearly two decades of experience advising clients on a broad range of real estate matters. Called to the Ontario Bar in 2007, Eli’s practice includes freehold land development, commercial acquisitions and financing, new home construction, and residential and commercial real property transactions.
Eli is known for providing practical, timely and solution-focused advice and for navigating complex real estate matters with a strong focus on efficiency and client service. He has been recognized by his peers for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in Canada™ in 2025, 2026 and 2027 for his expertise in Real Estate Law.
Originally from Windsor, Ontario, Eli is sharply focused on his practice and maximizing efficiencies at Merovitz Potechin LLP by adopting new technology. He is a devoted husband and father who supports a range of charities in Ottawa, including the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO) and Habitat for Humanity.
