Robert De Toni is a litigation and dispute resolution lawyer. He has been advising clients on commercial and civil litigation, insolvency & collections and employment law disputes since being called to the Bar in 1996. His clients range from major financial institutions and trustees in bankruptcy to individuals in need of legal advice. He has appeared before all levels of Court in Ontario including the Court of Appeal.
He is a former criminal lawyer who thrives under pressure whether it is before a Judge or across a conference table negotiating a settlement. Over the years, clients have come to count on Rob for his practical and straight-forward advice and his ability to assess the risks of litigation and quickly respond to changing scenarios with effective legal strategies.
Rob is an active member of the Ottawa community and has served as a board member of the Canadian Italian Business and Professional Association and the Villa Marconi Long Term Care Centre. He was instrumental in establishing the Ontario Bar Association’s Young Lawyers’ mock trial program for grade 6 students in Ottawa. When not at the gym working out, he can be found coaching his kids’ hockey and soccer teams.
