Chuck Merovitz is a man of many skills. He is a businessman, father and grandfather and tireless contributor to his community. To his clients, he is a lawyer who brings integrity, sensitivity and a deep desire to help to all that he does. Chuck has been practicing in the areas of commercial litigation and dispute resolution since starting his own practice immediately after being called to the Bar of Ontario in 1976. He has also been practicing in estate litigation for more than 10 years. He combines his legal knowledge with an innate ability to connect with people and reach a fair resolution to their disputes.
Throughout his career Chuck has tried to give back to his community. He initiated and was the chair of a committee that established the Cancer Survivors Park in Ottawa and is on the executive of the Ottawa Jewish Community Foundation. Chuck is also a charter member of the Ottawa Bytown Rotary Club and founded the Lawyers Blood Donor Clinic. He has served as a director of the John Howard Society and the United Jewish Appeal of Ottawa and is currently a Board member for the Ottawa Convention Centre and on the campaign cabinet for the $50M fundraising campaign for the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation.
Chuck was born and raised in Montreal and moved to Ottawa in 1974. He is an avid golfer and a fair-weather skier. Chuck has been married to Bonnie Merovitz since 1972 and has two boys, Lee and Ryan and has two wonderful grandchildren.
